Marento began with a single question: why does something as intimate as the fabric you sleep under get treated as disposable? We set out to answer it.
Where it started
The beginning
A house built on natural materials and honest craft.
Marento was founded in 2019 by a family with roots in the textile trade spanning three generations. We watched industrialisation hollow out the products filling homes — fast cycles, synthetic shortcuts, no accountability for what ends up in your bedroom.
So we went back to the source. We work directly with mills that have been weaving the same way for decades — in Portugal, Turkey, and India — selecting only natural fibres: long-staple Egyptian cotton, pure linen, and organic waffle weaves. No blends that compromise softness. No coatings that wash away after six months.
Every product carries the weight of those decisions. That is what Marento means.

From fibre to your home
How a Marento piece is made.
Every step is deliberate. We visit the mills, we approve the dye lots, we handle the finished pieces before they are ever packed.

Fibre selection
We work with fewer than twelve mills worldwide. Each is visited in person each season. We test thread counts against independent laboratories, not manufacturer specs.

Weaving & finishing
Weaving takes days, not hours. We specify the exact warp and weft density, and finishing is done without chemical softeners — texture comes from the fibre itself, and from washing.

Chipping & packing
Before packing, each piece is assigned a unique NFC identity — registered to our manufacturer's database, sealed into the label. From this moment it is traceable and verifiable forever.
